nemuke sasou yure ni
utouto kaji wa kimagure
higan’ wa mada ne

This small ferry moves along its way
And in its sleep inducing sway
I drift, the rudder going wherever it will
The other shore still yet ahead

小舟ゆらら下って行く
向こう岸は遥か
まだまだ旅は続くよ
鼻歌交じり
せせらぎも歌う

mada mada tabi wa tsudzuku yo
hanauta majiri
seseragi mo utau

This small ferry descends along in its sway
The other shore still far
On and on this journey will go
I hum a song and
The river sings along

うとうと瞼が重い
昼寝したいな
怒られるかもね
だけど眠たいな
