Fuudou Seika, Reimei no Kei = “Song of Stars Guided Upon the Wind, Dawning Landscape”
^Although the song really does depict … sunset? My dictionary says “DAWN” so I’m sticking to it. The compound literally means opening (as in light) of darkness, so I trust it.

TLNote:
A tanzaku is a small vertical slip of paper that you put prayers or poems on.
The vermillion bird is a chinese mythological creature (that of the southern heavens), kind of like a firebird or phoenix, but not.
-“The heavenly river, three months distant.” to be fair, I have no idea what this means, so I just went for a literal translation.
Sanae’s always “praying” – ironically, it’s praying for faith, which she doesn’t have. The song leaves her dream ambiguous, so you can interpret it however you want though – like wanting friends… or something – I’m a little bit surprised she’s not more friendly with Reimu and Marisa – but I always figured her the light-level emo/introspective character. I still love her though :)
