Crimson Sky

Sponsored by: Dobson

Notes:
“In my still heart” the word they use for “still” is the antonym for “windy” – so a “lull” basically. In this context it means that her heart is not beating because she’s dead.

“as I looked out at everything that was beautiful” is “as I looked out at everything that was beautiful(, but I only saw what was beautiful.)”

“Now more than ever / No one will hear my stifled voice.” – as in, it was pretty hopeless for her to leave, even when she was calling and wishing to leave, but now – now that she’s stopped her calling and quieted her voice, of course no one will hear her now.

naida kokoro ni kawaki oboete
“kimi wa doko nano?” to watshi, nageite kowarete

In my still heart, I thirst
“Where are you?” I lament, falling apart.

call you… miss you. call you… miss you.
I’m cry.. for you. I’m cry… for you.

mada kokoro osanakute kizutsukete kizutsuite
nani mo ka mo iya ni naru kurai na no
tobikata wo wasure nagameteta sora

My heart is still immature; I hurt and hurt others
So much that I end up hating everything
Having forgotten how to fly, I stare at the sky.

jiyuu to iu kotoba ni akogarete
kimi no you ni tobou to shite wa ochiteyuku

Obsessed with that word, “Freedom”
I try to fly as you do, but I only fall.

call you… miss you. call you… miss you.
I’m cry… for you. I’m cry… for you.

tsuredashite hoshii to kirei na mono dake wo mitsumeteta
itoshiku hakanai to shiru koto ososugita wa
kuroku mitasareteta heya to watashi to kimi ima mo nao
oshikoroshita koe wo dare mo shiranai mama de

I wanted you to take me away from this place, as I looked out at everything that was beautiful
When I learned everything I loved would pass away in no time at all, it was far too late.
With you and I together in this room, filled dark and black – Now more than ever
No one will hear my stifled voice.

call you… miss you. call you… miss you.
I’m cry… for you. I’m cry… for you.

mada kotoba tsutanakute sono negai kuchihatete
kowasu koto setsuna koboreochiteku
tobukoto wo wasure me wo tojita mama

My words still cannot convey my feelings; my wishes rot away
When I break things, everything just overflows
Having forgotten how to fly, I just close my eyes.

jiyuu to iu kotoba ni shibararete
moumoku ni naru koto wo nozon’deta kokoro

Bound by that word, “Freedom”
My heart pleaded to be made blind.

call you… miss you. call you… miss you.
I’m die… for you. I’m die… for you.

motodoori ni naru to shin’jiteta koto wo uragirare
kowareteku kokoro wa utsukushiku moetsukita
akaku mitasareteta sora to watashi to kimi eien’ ni
kiritorareta kioku hotsureteku un’mei ni

Betrayed by my hope that everything might go back to the way it was
My crumbling heart burned bright and beautiful as it extinguished itself
With you and I together forever with this sky, stained scarlet
My memories stolen from me disappear into our frayed and untangled fates

mada kokoro osanakute kizutsukete kizutsuite
nani mo ka mo iya ni naru kurai na no
tobikata wo wasure me wo tojita ah…

My heart is still immature; I hurt and hurt others
So much that I end up hating everything
Having forgotten how to fly, I just close my eyes… Ah…

can I request the lyric-romaji-translation of orientality from (C80) 東方鏡鳴歌 ?

    • My requests list is full, but I’m going to try to translate at least two or three songs this weekend, and if I do I’ll add it to the list – if I don’t, you’ll probably have to remind me when the list opens up a bit ^^;;;;;;;

I’m really upset at myself that I’m not posting more, I’ve just got a full time job and am on my own for everything now D:

Hi, could you translate 豚乙女’s 狂愛~Kyoai? With romanji too preferably ^^ Even though they have a PV for it, I can’t seem to find any translation anywhere. ._.

    • The same thing as above, if I can get some slots open for it soon, I’ll go ahead and add it in. I’ve kind of wanted to do that song for a while, so I might get to it sooner than later, but I don’t know D:

Just a couple things I’d thought I’d try to clear up. :]

    “元通りになると信じてたことを裏切られ
motodoori ni naru to shin’jiteta koto wo uragirare
Betrayed by my hope that everything might go back to the way it was”

When I’m listening to this part in the song; it doesn’t sound like there is a “koto” in there; it just sounds like “shin’jiteta wo”

    “愛しく儚いと知ること遅すぎたの
itoshiku hakanai to shiru koto ososugita no
When I learned everything I loved would pass away in no time at all,
    it was far too late.”

For this section here; the “no” sounds like a “wo” to me.

    Linky for song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXKOIv9W2nY

    • As for the 信じてたことを it’s there, it’s just fast :P

As for the 遅すぎたの – “no” is written in the booklet, but I’m hearing “遅すぎたわ” ososugita -wa- / Both “no” and “wa” are grammatically correct, but “wo” isn’t really that grammatically correct – it kind of is, but it doesn’t fit the style of the rest of the text, so it’s probably one of those “revised” things.

      The meaning stays the same.

In other news, I noticed that for the last English section, she says “die” so I’ll go ahead and change that.

Just dropping by to say thank you for the translations, and to drop a request. Could you translate Cosmic Colors by Elemental Records (it’s on the same album as this)?

  1. No trackbacks yet.
