Better late than never!
Anticipating RTS 10 is still in progress. The link will stay on the right side bar until the next anticipating post goes up (C84) so remember that it’s easy to find!
Notes:
Yes, もみじ comes from a verb (もみづ/もみつ)
Fragrant olive is a type of Asian olive tree/shrub that blooms in the late summer and fall with flowers ranging from white to bright orange (most commonly referenced with 金木犀). It bears fruit in the spring. – It’s a weird paradox for the song, because もみつ is used to describe trees’ leaves turning yellow, orange, and red, but the fragrant olive tree is an evergreen, so the only thing turning orange is its flowers. Still, it fits in perfectly with the image of autumn.
べっこう/鼈甲 “bekkou” means “tortoise shell”, but it also represents the color “amber”, which I believe it’s referring to more here.
“The fallen fruits of the wind” – fruit and nuts (“tree fruit” in Japanese) and so forth.
The way I interpret the “forget forget” stanzas is “by forgetting everything else, you better remember what’s most important.”
Yamazaki Sayaka completely lost me on that “tea dummy” line. (Though it probably has something to do with fragrant olive trees, also known as tea olive trees…)

The sky above, relaxing its color
As fallen fruits of the wind gently touch those
Afternoon tones of gold, everything is a sea of amber

In the sky relaxing its color, sheep play
A fallen tea dummy, tries to shake those
