Apropos of v-tuber drama.

Notes:

• Sacralization is another word for sanctification, so the title essentially means “The Desanctification, i.e., Disillusionment (of an Idol)”. Its form even lines up nicely with the word 幻滅. The inverse, i.e., “Sanctification (of an Idol)” is also used throughout the piece.

• “as sure as the sun sets every day / so do we return to our lonely crevices”, feels like a Amaterasu reference, as in Reimu positioning herself as Amaterasu, in a not exactly self-aware way.

• This song is, of course, very meta.

• The extra long line at the first encounter of the word “yuwai” is to avoid a translator’s note
