Notes:
“The spark that finally lit the fire” equivalent to “the last straw/the straw that broke the camel’s back” but I didn’t want to lose the fire imagery, because it ties back in later.

VI.
 Mugen’ Ren’sa no Boukyaku Jishou
An Endless Cycle of Oblivion
Vocal: Mitsuki
Arrangement:
Lyrics: 少女病
Circle: 少女病
Album: Album: Vision -

Of the beautiful scenery that once was, not a trace is left behind
There was no way to prevent the decay from affecting villagers’ hearts

koi kiri ga matataku ma ni nibuku shikai wo kumorasete
yomitorubeki shin’jitsu wo ooikakushiteshimatta

Without warning a thick fog fell, clouding the senses
Concealing the truth that should have been seen

yukiba no nai nikushimi to fuan’ no
hokosaki wa subete aware no shoujo ni mukerareta

Having nowhere else to go, their hatred and anxiety
Was all directed towards that one pitiable young girl

ikiru koto ga tsumi nara watashi sono mono ga mui de muimi de
son’na kanashimi ga atte ii wake nai

If my living itself is a sin, then all I have done is nothing, and myself meaningless
There is no way such a sadness should exist…

mou jouzu ni waraenai kore made wo hitei suru you de
tsurai kedo egao ja norikirenai gen’jitsu mo aru to shitta

I can no longer smile – It’s as if I’m going back on everything I’ve done
While it hurts, I now know, some realities you cannot overcome with a smile

hidane ni natta jishou wa zen’rei no nai shi no yamai

The spark that finally lit the fire was an unprecedented fatal disease

“wazawai no gen’kyou de aru akuryou tsuki no, iya, akuma no
iki no ne wo tomeru koto de fu no ren’sa mo kon’zetsu dekiru”

“The cause of all our suffering is that possessed… no, that devil!
If we kill her, we can end this cycle of disaster once and for all!”
The villagers had wasted away so much they could not help but cling to such delusions…

Kuuderika wo akuma da to nonoshiri
sagasu koetachi ga satsui wo motte chikadzuita

They called Kuuderika a devil
Ther voices murderous as they closed in, searching for her

“kimi ga akuma nan’ka ja nai koto wa ore ga shitteru. shin’jiteru”
shounen’ wa sukumu shoujo e to sasayaku

“I know that you are not a devil. I believe in you.”
Sess whispered to Kuuderika as she cowered

koraeteita namida ga sono kotoba de mou afuredeta
hitori demo kawamanai tomodachi ga dekita koto ga ureshikute

Hearing those words the tears she had held back now overflowed
Even if it was only him alone, she was so happy to have a friend

ikiru koto ga tsumi nara watashi sono mono ga mui de muimi de
son’na kanashimi ga atte ii wake nai

If my living itself is a sin, then all I have done is nothing, and myself meaningless
There is no way such a sadness should exist…

mou jouzu ni waraenai kore made wo hitei suru you de
tsuraikedo egao ja norikirenai gen’jitsu mo aru to shitta

I can no longer smile – It’s as if I’m going back on everything I’ve done
While it hurts, I now know, some realities you cannot overcome with a smile
