Suna no Shiro

Sponsored by: burbels

Notes:
I couldn’t figure out a way to make “falling with a rustle” sound any better, but just think about sand falling in one of those old time hourglasses.

 Suna no Shiro
 Sandcastles

yubi wo surinuke
aseru yakusoku
suna no shiro wo koko ni tsukuru koto
futarikiri de

Sifting through my fingers
A fading promise
That we would create a sandcastle here
Together

yuuyami ni nomikomare
shizun’deiku kuroi mori de
anata to no yakusoku
sore dake shin’jiteta

Swallowed by dusk darkness
In this black forest, I’m sinking
My promise with you
Is all I believed in

sara sarari to yureochiru
shimetta tsuchi ni suna wo tsumeba kuzurete
nan’do mo kokoro wo
kageru no wa akirame

It falls with a dry rustle…
When you pile sand upon the wet earth, it crumbles
I’ve given up casting shadows
Over my heart again and again

sasayaka koe ga toonaku
honoka ni atatakai yami ni hitomi korashite
anata wo sagasu no
hitorikiri koko ni nokottemo

Hearing a faint voice, not far away
I stare uncertainly into the warm darkness
Searching for you
Even though I’ve been left alone

yami wo surinuke
haneru kage ou
ikanaide to
koe wo hariageta

Wading through darkness
I chase after a leaping shadow
Raising my voice,
“Please, don’t go!”

mogaku ashi nomikomare
shizun’deiku kuroi mori de
anata ga kumitsubusu
suna no shiro wo niteita

My struggling feet swallowed up,
In this black forest, I’m sinking
It was like the sandcastles
You would build and topple

kokoro yo douka watashi wo mite
kokoro yo douka kowarenaide
kokoro yo douka anata wo mite
kokoro yo douka hanarenaide

O heart, please look at me
O heart, please don’t break
O heart, please look at him
O heart, please don’t leave me

warau hitomi mitsumerarezu
chin’moku ga memai wo sasou
nageku koe mo naku otoshita
hitotsubu no nagusame

Unable to stare at those smiling eyes
The silence invites dizziness
It fell without a cry of despair
A single grain of consolation

sara sarari to yureochiru
moroku kuzureru suna no kodou no oto e
anata wa itoshimu you ni
mimi wo katamuke

It falls with a dry rustle…
To this fragilely crumbling heartbeat of sand
I listen, thinking
Fondly of you

takai sora kara wa tooku
fukaku shizun’da mune ni hitomi hiraite
kikoeta ki ga shita
anata no kotoba wa maboroshi

The clear sky is distant
Opening my eyes in my sunken heart
I felt that I heard
Your words, an illusion

sara sarari to yureochite…

Falling with a dry rustle…

Ah, beautiful ^o^ I’m glad you’ve done it too so soon, although I added it on top of those other three suddenly. I can get addicted to it :)

You think you’d have time to translate the lyrics to that arrange: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMn4G-ICO8U ?

Hello Kafka… I read through the post and though I am not sure if it’s a poem or something else, it was a nice read, beautifully done. I actually wanted to make a request if possible: one song from ShibayanRecords “Mágico Catástrofe”… I browsed through the lyrics list and found 3 songs from that album (which I felt really happy about finding), but to my dismay, they were not the ones I was looking for. This is a song that has been stuck in my head for the best part of the last 3 months (alongside Love and Fall in the Dark) and I’ve been unable to find translations for.
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate and admire the lyrics work that you do
