Cross World

^I’m in love with this artist. 心太 (Tokoroten). Here’s two of three recent pictures, I’m with holding the third for the next song.

Excuse me. I’m listening to Freezepop’s Less Talk More Rokk and reminiscing over 2007. “mostly unironically~” (I translated most of this while listening to it, so if there’s some outside influence… uh. sorry m(_ _)m)

By the way, any song that praises reading is on my side.

Oh look. This is my 800th post.

Notes:
All of the strange imagery is taken out of Merry and Renko’s adventures/Touhou events. The unwilting cherry blossoms is the Perfect Cherry Blossom incident.

“As the circuit closes” ie. connects.

This one’s lightly translated – mostly with feeling.

kage ochite akane saku heya
furuboketa hon’ ni kogareru

In this room as shadows fall and rose madder blossoms
I fall in love with a musty old book

shiranai koto shiru no ga
ikenai koto da nan’te
shiranai dakara motto
fukaku oku no michi e

How could they say there are
Some things we should not know?
It is because we don’t know that we
Travel further down the path of “unknown”

karenu sakura mo
shin’ku no tsuki mo
kono me ni utsuranai
koori no hana ni
kieru sukima ni
kono te de furetemitai no
shikou hirogaru
hon’ ga kizan’da
fukashigi gen’soukyou
omoi dake fuwari
ukan’de kieta

Neither the unwilting cherry blossoms
Nor the crimson moon
Do I see with my own eyes
But the flowers of eyes
And the disappearing gaps
I want to touch with my own hands
As my thoughts broaden
The strange wonderland
Brought to life from this book
Gently appear and disappear
In the waves of my thoughts

tooku hibiku matsuribayashi
me wo tojite kioku kasaneru

To a faraway festival beat I close my eyes
And let memories pile on top of each other

page mekuru tabi ni
atarashii deai to
gen’jitsu to no kabe ni
tori nokosareteiku

Every time I turn a page
I am left behind
On the wall between
A new meeting, and reality

towa no karada mo
sakebu honoo mo
kono me ni utsuranai
hisomu minamo ni
sasou neiro ni
kono te de furetemitai no
kairo tsunagaru
hon’ ga kizan’da
fukashigi gen’soukyou
omoidake fuwari
ukan’de kieta

Neither that eternal body
Nor its screaming flames
Do I see with my own eyes
But that concealing water’s surface
And its inviting tones
I want to touch with my own hands
As the circuit closes
The strange wonderland
Brought to life from this book
Gently appears and disappears
In the waves of my thoughts
