Oueisaien

Requested by: Kizoku-chan some years ago it seems o.o;

So Daylight Savings starts today. I woke up, and was like “Damn, I slept til 10?” get up and walk over to my computer and see “No, I’ve slept in til 11.” D:<

Notes:
"Through the sound of the rain" – uses "droplets" so you could mark it as ambiguous metaphor for "through the sound of rain, but it's really just my tears" sort of thing. Rain is used as a metaphor for tears all the time, so didn't feel bad just marking it as "rain".

"帰依ても" "kietemo" – pronounced the same as "to disappear" but written in such a way as "to be engulfed in religious devotion", but in this case you've got how Yuyuko's martyred herself but doesn't know it, so "to be bound in the binds of your own religious devotion and sacrifice you know nothing about" sounds like a good full translation :3

 Oueisaien
The Dazzlingly Colorful Shadows of Cherry Blossoms
Vocal: 茶太
Arrange: きりん
Lyric:
Circle: EastNewSound
Album: Solitude Blossom
Event: C80

nijimu sora ochiru sunatsubu
hirahirahira
hirogete sameta yubi ni

Out of the sky bleeding with color, particles of sand were
Falling, fluttering like flower petals,
Alighting onto the cold fingertips of my outstretched hands

tooku naru dare mo egaita
yurayurayura
koborete kieru katachi

They were what everyone drifting far away had painted
Each image sways and flickers
Spilling over as it disappears

todokanu tana no ue dareka ga oitekita
itsuka no heya no naka dareka ga oitekita

Someone placed it high up on a shelf I cannot reach
Someone placed it in this room before I knew it…

haruka ni toonoku yume
kono te de hiroiageta you ni

And that dream, drifting far into the distance,
As if I had picked it up in my own hands…

kaze ni mau sore ga tookute
furikaeru to itsuka miteita you ni
toki wo koe tatoe kuchitemo
mada minu yume kuzureta hako ni nemuru

The wind dances, and everything feels so far away
When I turn around, it feels as if I’d seen this before
Even if everything else turns to dust, overcoming time
The dream I have yet to see sleeps in a broken box

kagami ni utsuru hito hakanaku nobiru kage

I someone in the mirror and as their shadow lengthens, for just a moment…

saegiru shizuku no oto nagareru mukashi kiita kotoba

Through the sound of the rain, I hear words that I heard once long long ago…

takaku mae sono mi kietemo
kanata no koe hibiita koto ni naite
kuroku nuu naraku no ana e
kono mi wo nose shibuki no naka e kieru

“Dance high into the skies, even if you lose yourself to your own sacrifice”
I cry out, hearing that voice, far in the distance ringing and
Into the dark, blackly woven pit of hell
I leap forward and disappear in the spray

yue kawasu koto
yuragu ko wo itami mono

And… the words we exchange….
Shaking me and myself… carry such pain…

kaze ni mau sore ga tookute
furikaeru to itsuka miteita you ni
toki wo koe tatoe kuchitemo
mada minu yume kuzureta hako ni nemuru

The wind dances, and everything feels so far away
When I turn around, it feels as if I’d seen this before
Even if everything else turns to dust, overcoming time
The dream I have yet to see sleeps in a broken box

  1. Aww many thanks for your translation! :3 It’s so poetic!

I really like these lines: 黒く縫う奈落の穴へ/この身を乗せ飛沫の中へ消える

Kumarisu’s lyrics are a bit too abstract for me sometimes, but they’re always pretty.

    Can I requests 桜∞friendship by Conagusuri? ;w;

I love that song so much.

    • I thought I already did this one before, but apparently I didn’t – D:

My list is full so I can’t put it up there, but I’ll try to keep it in mind.
