^So I couldn’t find a suitably despairing picture for the top, so just cry and cry and cry and cry at the end to make up for it.

Phew, RD’s songs always make me cry. I think it’s going to be impossible to capture everything in this song because the whole folkness of it is so perfect and crystallized that I have to break it up a bit to translate. I mean the repetition and flow and progession is flawless… Just keep in mind that I’m not doing it justice. Really, this guy makes learning Japanese worth it.

Also, Ranko’s voice is perfect for the end.

Phew I’m exhausted. December is exhausting. I should rest – but I need to work! Work!
