月夜に舞う想い // Tsukiyo ni Mau Omoi

おぜうさま!

Requested by: Revolution Saber

Glad we’re finally able to get this one out! :D Thanks for the scans!!!

Notes:
The crimson “flowing in her outstretched hand” is blood, but there’s also that “red string of fate” metaphor at play there.

月夜に舞う想い
 Tsukiyo ni Mau Omoi
Feelings Dancing in the Moonlit Night
Vocals: めらみぽっぷ
Arrange: Yuyoyuppe
Circle: Draw the Emotional
Album: Funny Party in the Fog
Event: Reitaisai 8

かざしたその手に
伝わる真紅は
幼い心を繋ぎとめてた

kazashita sono te ni
tsutawaru shinku wa
osanai kokoro wo tsunagi tometeta

In my outstretched hand
Flowed a crimson
Which tied our young hearts together…

日陰に写した永久の時を
拾い上げたなら
廻る運命
嘆きのロンドに意味を求めても
古の裏に涙は枯れた

hikage ni utsushita eikyuu no toki wo
hiroiageta nara
mawaru unmei
nageki no rondo ni imi wo motometemo
inishie no ura ni namida wa kareta

Since then I have gained endless time
Drawn out in long shadows
But even if through my winding fate
I try to find meaning in this lamentable rondo
My tears have since dried up, in ages long past

連なる旋律にただ身をまかせ微笑んだ
月明かりの下で朽ちてゆく
命の音が聞こえる

tsuranaru senritsu ni tada mi wo makase hohoenda
tsukiakari no shita de kuchiteyuku
inochi no oto ga kikoeru

Now I smile, releasing myself to all the strung melodies
Here under the moonlight as I rot
Listening to all the sounds of life

馳せる想いは暗闇に舞う
満ちることのない気持ちはそこにあった
言葉足らずの純粋ならば
虚実の海に消えてしまえばいいさ

haseru omoi wa kurayami ni mau
michiru koto no nai kimochi wa soko ni atta
kotoba tarazu no junsui naraba
kyojitsu no umi ni kieteshimaeba ii sa

My emotions race, dancing in the darkness
Feelings that can never be fulfilled
If they are so pure that words are not enough
Then I’d rather them disappear into the sea of truth and lies

切なく繰り返す旋律はまだ終わらない
儚く零れ落ちた紅い紅い
一筋の悲しみ

setsunaku kurikaesu senritsu wa mada owaranai
hakanaku koboreochita akai akai
hitosuji no kanashimi

This painful but precious melody will not yet end
As each fleeting bit of scarlet overflows
A pure stream of sadness

馳せる想いは暗闇に舞う
伝えきれない気持ちはここにあった
言葉足らずの純粋ならば
虚実の海に消えてしまえばいいさ

haseru omoi wa kurayami ni mau
tsutaekirenai kimochi wa koko ni atta
kotoba tarazu no junsui naraba
kyojitsu no umi ni kieteshimaeba ii sa

My emotions race, dancing in the darkness
Feelings that can never be conveyed
If they are so pure that words are not enough
Then I’d rather them disappear into the sea of truth and lies

Just wanted to publicly thank you for this translation as well as the romaji that you don’t usually do. As you know from my email, this means a lot to me. You are the man!

  1. ; u ; Oh! Im the one who requested Jewelry Magic. i was wondering if you could add the romaji to the translation ; w ; If it isnt a problem (:

    • I’ll make a note to add romaji at its place in the queue, but if I forget about it, just remind me after I’ve posted the song and I’ll type it up for ya.

Had 2 questions and a request. The two questions have to do with two points in 月夜に舞う想い where it sounds like she’s singing something different than what is in the lyrics sheet. In the first chorus, second line

Michiru koto nai kimochi wa soko ni atta

it sounds like she sings “Michiru koto no nai kimochi wa soko ni atta”, and in the second chorus, second line

Tsutaekirenai kimochi wa soko ni atta

it sounds like she sings “Tsutaekirenai kimochi wa koko ni atta”.

I was wondering: did she sing it incorrectly, or are the lyrics in the booklet incorrect?
My request was for the translation of Melting Time from the same album, Funny Party in the Fog. Thank you for any translational assistance you can provide!

    • Fixed the bits – the こののない was an error in the scans, the そこ/ここ bit was user error – but I’m going to blame the blurry scans this time XD.

I’ll add Melting Time – I think it’s the only one on the album I haven’t done already XD (except Rutilant Fruit, which strangely enough only has a Japanese translation for the lyrics, but not the actual lyrics…)

      PS. DONE!

Thank you for the Melting Time translation! I always thought Rutilant Fruit sounded really off from the booklet’s Japanese. (I understand a bit of Hiragana and Katakana, and I could never match what the artist sang to the lyric sheet. Now I know why!) Is there any way to get the actual lyrics? I can’t understand the Engrish any better than I could Red Madness and my Desire. If we can’t get the actual English lyrics, could a translation from the Japanese lead us in the right direction?
