Kanade-ugate, Shinonome no Kanata e”

奏で穿て、東雲の彼方へ “Kanade-ugate, Shinonome no Kanata e” is from Lyrical Crimson, the first full album EastNewSound released (and full vocal at that), and it is amazing ^_^, well the group itself is fantastic – check out their stuff!

I forgot that I had almost completely overlooked Lyrical Crimson in terms of translating. I thought I had translated all of them already and put them up on the site long ago. I may have translated them before, but I must have never put them up D: – so I think I might go on a little EastNewSound marathon for a while ^_^

Notes:
The “kicking the stone” is almost 100% a throw back to the game, where you kick the yin-yang orb all over the place – if you didn’t know it might sound a bit strange and out of place XD.
“kagura” is a type of ancient Shinto music and dance.

 Kanade-ugate, Shinonome no Kanata e
”Play Music into the Distance and Pierce the Dawn”
Arranger:KOBATYU
Lyric:
Vocal:Cryu

Kicking a stone, her invisible wings unfold and beat against the still air
Towards that mark where the moon shines, she flaps her wings and takes off

In a sea of clouds, the sounds of wind play, and she spreads both her arms
With her five fingers she makes five lined scores which become to her a track

She falls into the sky, moon dust at her back, and reaches out
As the wind plays its age old sounds, she accompanies with her melody

She tears through this night with her wings while the stars fall, a bird ascending to vermillion
Far, far away, beyond the sky, towards the dawn

The hazy coming of light will shine upon
This hazy darkness in the sky and sea

What hides this dim light
Is but the dim darkness in the sky’s stony clouds

Yet when the twilight rings
The dawn will call..

With both hands paired together
She pauses at the boundary

In that instant her form exists
Into the distance, blossoming, playing, dancing; this is kagura

The night looks up, and the morning stands still, where
In this dim twilight she continues protecting, running, and composing

She falls into the sky, moon dust at her back, and reaches out
As the wind plays its age old sounds, she accompanies with her melody

She tears through this night with her wings while the stars fall, a bird ascending to vermillion
Far, far away, beyond the sky, towards the dawn..

Far into the distance, Far into the distance, Far into the distance – Fly
Far into the distance, Far into the distance, Far into the distance – Without end!
Far into the distance, Far into the distance, Far into the distance – Depart
Far into the distance, Far into the distance, Far into the distance – Into the distance!

    I should get more EastNewSound.
I like 3 Lyrical Crimson songs out of 3 (this one, 緋色月下、狂咲ノ絶, and 咲き届け、春へ至る音).

    • Yeah, I got lyrical crimson by chance (“oh look it’s got ‘lyrical’ in the name!”), loved it, and it started me off as an EastNewSound fan.
